Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Belt was squealing when old A/C comp. was in line with belt. Removed belt and found bad bearing in A/C comp. put on smaller belt no squeal. Replaced A/C comp. with new one and squeal is instantly back. What gives?

As stated system was ran with smaller belt to include all other pulley's and no noise but when larger belt was incorporated to include new compressor noise returned.

If the belt is squealing possibly tighten the belt some and see if that helps. with the tensioner pulley or tensioner bolt (on mine the tensioner bolt is on the generator bracket)
