Why it says Key not Detected?

Purchased New 3 button FOB programed myself, all buttons working perfect.
Duplicated this FOB key laser cut. Inserted in vehicle, won't start, says "Key Not Detected".
Do I need to program the key again.
Any help would be appreciated

To program new keys to a Ford Product you must have two keys that are already programmed to the vehicle. If you don't, your local Ford Dealer or a reputable locksmith has to do it. Hope that helps! Jim
