car just shuts off while driving on the highway, a.c on high and car siiting befor for eight hours in the sun, what cause it to shut off?

my car was sitting in hot sun for eight hours I went to drive it put the a/c on high drove it for about ten minutes then the car just shuts down/off while driving on the highway. What cause this was it too much pull on the car since it had been sitting in the hot sun???

Possibly a bad alternator, not charging your battery or giving sufficient power to run the car. Can have it load tested at local auto parts store

it could be a few different things. i highly doubt the alternator, if it wasnt charging your car would struggle to turn on or wouldnt crank. Does your car have issues starting back up after it shuts off and will only come on once you let it cool down? if so it could be camshaft or crank position sensors. Thats what my cars issue was, hope this helps.
