I have a 2000 ford explorer and suddenly i lost all compression help?

It's 2017 , get a three year old lease return....Used car prices have never been lower due to the glut of vehicles coming off lease. Retire the 2000.....It's time.
Number of things to cause no compression like bad head gaskets due to overheating, burnt valves, bent valves. Also it is possible that something happen to the valve train due to the timing chains. Some is going to have to tear into it see exactly what the problem is.
Has the compression actually been measured via a compression test?
