Check engine light

Asked by GuruD9KP7 Aug 06, 2017 at 03:36 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay so I bought a used 2004 Sunfire Gt, the
check engine light came on and was told to
get a new gas cap...Did that, it still came on.
I had the vent valve replaced, was told it was
needed. 2 days later the light came on again,
got a code reader and it says Code C1275?
Had it taken to garage and told them the
code. They did their diagnosis and said the
air compressor needed to be replaced, so
they changed it, got the car home and the
check engine light came on again, there is a
clunking noise in the front end, the clunking
sound only started when the light came on.
Any suggestions, I'm told could be a sensor?
