Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I had just got my alternator bushings new. My
battery light on my dash flickers, the temperature
gauge bounces up during and before that occurs.
The power surges and just earlier, I had no power
pressing on the gas. I have no idea what it could be.

Not exactly sure what you mean by "got my alternator bushing new", but my best guess to your problem is that the strange behavior you describe is caused by fluctuations in the Starting? Charging system of your car. I have found that Hondas are particularly more susceptable to crazy behavior due to voltage fluctuations, more so than most other vehicles. What you are describing sosund very much like a problem I had on one of mine which was caused by a faulty alt, which tested as"good" at a prts store. The machine test results are not always accurate. IF IT WERE MY CAR i WOULD REPLACE THE ALT.
Well I know a guy and he checked out my alternator and all he did was put new bushings in it. But this problem only occurs when I'm driving. I will change the alternator out and see if that helps. Thanks
That is your best bet. I am not positive but this alt may have a built in Voltage regulator and it is probably bad. They used to be external on the older cars so you could change them seperately from the alt if the alt was still good. Also I do not know which bushings you are refering to, internal for the winding or external for the mounting bolts. If internal he could have screwed somthing up accidentally.
Alright man, I'm not too sure where he replaced them at. I'll surely see if the alt. The problem thanks
