2000 Honda Civic EX Cranks but won't start randomly

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
Hello, for the last 3-4 months or so my 2000 Honda Civic EX has been
having trouble periodically where I turn the key and the engine cranks, but it
won't start. The car does this for between 5-15 minutes and then it will fire up
randomly. It started once every 2 weeks but has been increasing in
frequency to about 2x per week at this point. I've had the spark plugs and the
fuel pump checked, and the mechanic told me that it could possibly be due
to "Using Arco gasoline instead of higher end gasoline". Does this sound
correct? Are there any other things that could be wrong with the car? Thanks
in advance!

Any updates on this? My car is doing the same thing
Pull your coil packs out one at a time and inspect the rubber grommets that connect to the spark plugs. These crack over time and it will act that same way. It may not be what is causing your issue but it is worth a look.
Sorry, your's (2000) might be the ignition coil. Under the distributor cap.
I have the same issues with my Civic EK4 (b16a2) Any update or fix? It's completly random wether it starts or not. It's got new coil, spark plugs, fuel tank including pump. Thought maybe the camshaft inducter(sensor) or maybe the wires from the distributor to the plugs. Sometimes it shows the engine light with following code.
I have the same problem with my 2002 honda civic lx it starts normally but a couple times a week i will go to start it and it cranks but wont start. And it does not like starting on hills.
