New engine and clutch

I just got a new engine and clutch put in last week
but now while driving it will jerk and sputter as if
its not getting enough fuel. Then earlier today the
check engine light came on and it won't pick up
going into 4th or 5th gear.

Normally you take it back to where you had it installed, there are always bugs to work out. And you will have to get the code read by a scanner, for the check engine light.
