Did you have the trouble codes read or did you just assume it was the EGR? The shaking could be an ignition miss.

I had the troble code. i whent to auzone to use there scanner and they told me that the the egr valve was the porblem so i cleaned out the ports and bought the a new egr valve. I drove the car befor and after i installed the Egr valve and the car still tends to sake a little when i speed up. Other than ignition missfire do you think or know of anything else that can be wrong? Im taking that ignition missfire in to tought but if i fix that and that dosent work do you know or can think of something else would be wrong with the car.

What was the code? How long since you did a tuneup and filter change?

I recently changed the spark plugs like mabey a month ago. And i forgot the code but P04 something i belive. And i should be doing the oil change pretty soon its almost time. Is the any filter in particular are you askig about? I always change the oil filter when i do the oil change.

the egr works off a signal either electric from the computer or maybe a vacuum lines , the computer would need input from a sensor or something else to instruct the egr ,, I wish a scan would identify a problem to the letter but it only tells you where the problem lies , let us know what happens .
