My 2000 honda accord feels like it is going to stall out when it idles at stops. It just started this today

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My check engine light has been on for over a week my friend says its because I
need to replace the o2sensor. But today when it was idling at stops and it
began to feel as if it was going to die the CE light started blinking( which that
has never happened before)  and continued to do so until I pushed on the gas
and resumed driving.  Also after that when I got on the freeway and reached
btw  70-75 mph.the CE light again started blinking until I went down to 65mph.
Is this because I need to replace the o2o2sensor or are these signs of another
kind of issue???

The 2000 accords had an issue with the EGR port path that involves a service kit, and drilling out the port and putting in a steel sleeve. Had this on mine. As far as the coil goes, verses what your friend told you, I can't say because you need to have the trouble codes read and post them here. Any autozone or advance auto parts or O'Rileys will be happy to read them for you.
