Staggered tires on a suburban

Asked by Greenburban Dec 15, 2018 at 07:56 PM about the 2002 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 Z71 4WD

Question type: General

Have 255/70/17 on the rear and front at the
moment.  Obtained a new 245/70/17 tire for free.  
Vehicle needs new front tires.  Can I put the
245/70/17 on the front with 255/70/17 on the
rear?

Because of the different rotational speed I'm guessing. But in all until I can get the appropriate tires on there it'll work for the time being.
