Are Honda CR-V's reliable good cars? We are considering purchasing a used
one. My mom is a fan of crossovers because its comfortable for her to sit a little
higher. A hybrid would be preferable. Thank you.

From my research it seems that Toyota and Lexus are more reliable. We are specifically looking at Toyota Avalon and Lexus ES 300h. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Both are good choices but as with any used car you do not know the history of the car. Have a mechanic check them out before buying.

I would not buy any vehicle with a cvt transmission. Anyone who buys a vehicle with cvt transmission is playing Russian roulette. I have owned my last cvt. It is better to buy a larger SUV or truck without a cvt that gets poor gas mileage than buy a small economical car with cvt that gets great gas mileage. The cost to replace a CVT can be upwards of $9,000. 9,000 dollars will buy lots of gas.
