What is wrong with my driver window?

Asked by amtj83 Jan 18, 2016 at 10:20 AM about the 2004 Honda Accord EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My window motor burned out and I have replaced it with a new one. It still
wouldn't work. I have tried to replace the window switch.  Still won't work.
When I put in a new window switch it will work front passenger and left back
window only. I put my old switch back in works all my Windows but driver
window.  Please help me.

Take a look at the wires going from the driver door jam into the door. One of them maybe frayed or broken.

That actually sounds like possibly the new switch could be wired improperly (is it Honda OEM?). Or possibly one of the other switches are defective and keeping the new one from working properly. I would think that if it were a frayed or broken wire someplace, both the old master switch and the new one would work the same windows.
