Black smoke in exhaust pipe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mercedes c300 is emitting fire from the exhaust pipe in
sport+ mode is it normal or any problems might exist?
My exhaust pipe was turned into black color

Sounds like it is running rich and/or the ignition timing is off. Your car probably still is under the emissions system warranty.

Not sure; have to check with dealer but it has 50k miles warranty not sure if it covers Is it going to be expensive to fix the problem
