Why won't my Focus zx3 run right??!!

Asked by Randy Nov 17, 2020 at 12:05 AM about the 2001 Ford Focus ZX3

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced everything related to this problem and the fuel pump is fine.
Injectors are fine. I replaced the air mass sensor, the air filter, the fuel
pressure sensor, and the fuel filter. What else could cause a loss of 75% of
the power. Upon acceleration the car just bogs with intermittent proper firing.

When it does run, you said (and I'm paraphrasing) that its running rough? And that you're getting surges like its trying to get normal power....what do the spark plugs look like? (Curious about the "charring coloration") is it black from carbon buildup or a grayish like a lean gas mixture?

Spark plugs are brand new. Car starts fine. When I accelerate it just bogs down. I lose 75% power. Everything has been replaced. I'm pulling my hair out here. OBD showed problem with fuel pressure sensor and check engine light was on. Changed sensor, check engine light went off but car still bogs upon acceleration.
