2015 Nissan Rouge CVT Transmission iisues

Asked by GuruT82MX Jul 11, 2018 at 10:08 PM about the 2015 Nissan Rogue SL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 2015 Nissan Rouge new in June of 2015,  at 35,000 miles the transmission
went. I was given a reconditioned transmission. Nissan reluctantly agreed to give an
'Extended Component Warranty Coverage" and sent me a letter extending the motor
train coverage to 100K. My 2nd transmission started slipping 6 months ago, and after 3
trips to the dealer to have them check the problem it has now been determined I need a
2nd transmission after another 53,000 miles. My three year old car is now getting a 2nd
transmission at 89,000 miles. I called Nissan Group of North America to confirm my
'Extended Warranty' and they claim, "We have no record of your extended warranty
coverage" Has anyone else had this situation happen to them? Has anyone else had the
2015 Rouge and needed 2 transmissions before 100,000 miles? I have the letter they
sent me regarding the Extended Component Warranty Coverage, but I am anticipating
an issue when it comes time to pick up my car.  Does anyone have any advice for how
to handle this situation?

I would pull a current history on the vehicle, go back though your original paperwork from the dealership and find the buyer's guide. Look up any open recalls......if you want to do more let me know.

We currently have our 2015 Rogue sitting at the dealership. Bought new in March 2015 , May 2016 transmission went out. They replaced seeing it was still under warranty. Now Sept 2019 with right around 100,000 transmission went out again. I currently have a case number and should be hearing back from them later today or tomorrow. We have had an Altima , quest , Xterra and Rogue. If they can not help me out I will NEVER buy another Nissan again. 3 transmissions in 4 years is ridiculous .

Check and see if there is any kind of lemon law that can be claimed. This is an on going problem. These transmissions are junk. I must say I have 2015 rogue. I haven’t had any transmission problems. I changed the fluid already. We only have 38,000 miles on our.
