Low pulsing whining noise

My 2015 vw passat Wolfsburg is
doing a low pulsing whining noise
that seems to come from dash area.
It doesn't make the noise all the time.
I have 50,000 miles on it. Was
wondering what could this noise be.

what situations is the car in when you hear this noise ? does it sound like a buzzing or a humming ? does it only do it when your moving or when our stoped ? does it go away when you turn the climate control off? any extra information would be good. its hard to know what a noise is when you don't know how or when it occures.
We just bought a 2015 Passat SE. It makes a similar noise. Slow when idling, it speeds up when we start driving. Sort of sounds like a water fountain pump when the water is low. It's a low pitch sound.
Did you ever find an answer to this? I'm in the same situation with my 2015 VW Passat Wolfsburg ( 64k miles )
