86 jeep wagoneer limited, rear trans mount needs replacing. How much does this affect my shift linkage.?

Are you having problems with the shift linkage? I guess it depends on how bad the trany mount is.

If the transmission has shifted a lot the linkage could bind up. Hard braking or acceleration could shift the engine and transmission so take it easy until you get it fixed.
