No tenths of a mile on 2015 odometer?

Is there  a way to cause the tenths of a mile to be shown?  I have never heard of a car
which did not show one tenths of a mile.  It is useful when one gets directions saying to
go 2. 7 miles....  I've had many cars over the years and all have displayed the tenths -
so it was a real shock and very annoying to notice that there were none on my new
Forester!!   

(I have no idea about what trim to select and just chose one at random as there was no
option for "Don't Know".)
