Did you blow a fuse anywhere ? From what you have explained, you are only jumping the fuse block in order to get power to the fuel pump. First I would tell you to look for a blown fuse and then to get a test light and follow the wiring for power from the under hood fuse block to the pump itself.

yes i found the ecm fuse was blown. after that tried to start it got nothing checked the old pump and it worked so new pump is bad. put old pump in started it and blew the ecm again so there is a short between fuse block and fuel pump. so either run down the short or replace the wire from fuse block to the pump is my best guess.

ok ran new wire from fuse block to fuel pump and still blowing ecm fuse. if i disconnect wire from fuel pump ecm fuse don't blow so going to try a new fuel pump.

Make sure all your grounds are good everywhere (clean and tight), especially between the fuel tank and the frame as well.
