Silverado misfire

Asked by GuruBCWYM Feb 15, 2019 at 04:39 AM about the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT Z71 Crew Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Only get a misfire on #4 when in drive. If I shut
down the truck for 10 min and shift in manual to
keep it out of v4 it runs fine. Same symptoms
down shifts hard rough idle.

Save your self time and worry, do compression test right away on all cylinders, if you don’t have tool or don’t want to pay, simply put butt end of plastic screw driver or broom stick and turn key, you should feel the air spurts on each cylinder and compare with each, if your missing compression you should know right away, rule that out and it becomes easy, spark plugs, coil, injections, wires
