Coolant gauge not working

My car was running fine, I went into
gas station and tried to start car the
car finally started and the check
gauges light came on , the coolant
gauge did not move even when it
warmed up, checked oil and coolant
levels they were fine

Need to have the codes read if the check engine light is on. Report back as to what the codes are. The coolant gauge could either be a bad stepper motor on the back of the gauge, OR your temperature sensor located right above the thermostat on the I6 motor for your year.
