Antenna problem 2011 Crown Vic

Asked by Danski1 Jun 27, 2019 at 11:06 AM about the 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought a 2011 CV and the AM reception is very static so I plugged an
portable antenna into the radio and the reception is great.
What I want to do is find out where the other end of the antenna is connected
so that I can check it.
Does anyone know where this other end is?
I think I have a windshield antenna but not sure.
Thanks a million for anyone who can help.

The front windshield has a sort of mesh on the top and bottom about 2 inched wide but I cannot see any wire. The antenna wire under the dash on the passenger side appears to go towards the rear of the vehicle. Is it possible the antenna is in the rear window? I will get back to you on Monday when I have time to further look. Thanks again and have a great weekend!
