I have a 2004 crown vic police interceptor, gas engine,

Asked by Dan May 29, 2017 at 01:52 PM about the 2004 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It randomly died on me, while sitting at a stop sign, it will crank but will not start.
The "mechanics" at work farted around with a bunch of electrical stuff, said
that it was fixed, and geve it back to me.  25 minutes later I was stranded with
the same problem that I took it in for, it will crank but no start.   Please help!!!

Any DTC codes? If the engine shut off while driving there is usually a code(s) set.

I tried replacing the fuel pump, but we can only get the fuel pump to prime, if we jump the pcm relay, as far as we can tell there may be a problem between the ignition switch and the pcm???
