Rear axle

The rear axle to my 2001 crown vic doesnt fit thru
the spider. Wat can i do to fix it? Also the new axle
is longer and thicker....

if you bought the part from a dealer or pick a parts you should be able to return it or swap it out for the right part the one near me gives you 60 days I just replaced my rear differential on my 09 crown vic
