Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2000 dodge dakota sport LT. I have
had the starter tested and it was fine and the
solenoid is made onto the starter. Have
checked the battery its fine and have checked
the battery terminals and the wire
connections they are all fine. The fuel pump
is kickin on. When i go to try to start the truck
it clicks twice and nothing. The truck was
running fine for 20 mins. Shut it off for
15mins went back out to start it and nothing.

My cousin has the same truck. It would crank hard but no start.. he thought it was the fuel pump. But I didn't think so.. you could hear the fuel pump strong and then shut off once it had pressure built up like it is supposed to.. I ended finding out the Durango and Dakota sometimes had problems with the wire harness that plugged into the computer. When we would push it in by hand and keep pressure on it pushing it into the computer harder it would stay on no problem.. but then eventually it would short out the computer.
