My 1989 grand prix has only 40,000 miles on her but now she will start for a min or so idol hard makes engine jump a lil bit the dies! Any clue?

started.she will idol for a couple mins and die i
cant hit the gas or she will die right there.

Don't forget that silent killer - back pressure in the exhaust from a dying catalytic converter. Same symptoms.
