I have a 89 s-10 4.3 blazer. It is cranking over but not starting. I can smell gas after trying to start it. I also put my finger under neath the injector and it had gas. I hear the fuel pump turn on.

Pull a wire from plug,or if eqipped with coil pack ,pull it,stick a extra spark plug in it or place a screw driver in it,ground it to motor and have some one turn engine over to see if you have spark.

Be carefull when you do this, make sure you are clear of wire,or it can bite you.

I did what you said above. I used a riding lawn mower spark plug. I hope that was okay. I grounded to engine and I saw no spark.
