89 GMC 1500 2WD 60 psi oil pressure at idle. Why?

My old Yukon had that kind of oil pressure, nothing wrong with it.

18 at idle hot in gear is a tad low but still within specs. Just keep a eye on it there could be a bypass problem just starting to show.

Oil pressure will be higher when the engine is cold because the oil is cold too and thicker. When the engine and the oil warm up the pressure should come down. About 15 to 20 PSI at idle and fully warmed up is about normal. Hope that helps! Jim
