As a result of the success of the 2012 and 2013 Boss 302S, Ford Racing will be offering a 2014 Model Year race-prepared Mustang Boss 302S in 2013. If you are interested, please ask your Ford Dealer to enter a Placeholder Order with Ford Racing using Part Number M-FR500-B302S. Ford Dealers can refer to EFC02188 for order instructions. Order allocation and builds will be based off of the Placeholder Order Bank. 2014 MUSTANG BOSS 302S - PLACEHOLDER PART NUMBER # M-FR500-B302S*, Suggested Retail Price - $89,995.00. --- Ford may no longer offer its Boss 302 package for the Mustang, but Ford Racing Parts has announced it will continue to offer the Mustang Boss 302S for the 2014 model year. Customers interested can now place their orders. The model will be limited to only 50 units and it will be the last year the 302S will be offered before the next generation arrives on the market. The model is ready for track days and road racing in a number of SCCA and NASA classes, with minor modifications required by each series. The Mustang Boss 302S was originally produced between 1969 and 1970 and then reintroduced in 2011. Since its reintroduction, the model won numerous championships and in 2011, it tied the record set in 1970 for race wins by the same Mustang driver in a professional production based series at 5 wins. For the 2014 model year, the 302S will be offered in either Performance White or Grabber Blue, with Satin Black being offered as an option. The explanation of what Ford is doing with this race performance team and the special option I read about in an article on line, that no one on the FORD chat line knew about, reads just like what you have above except for the placeholder numbers. They had two numbers and I believe, two letters, 54t or 54th, but what you have above is what they were talking about. It is interesting to note how much more they are asking for than the Mustang BOSS 302, Leguna Seca package. The $45k price increase was a bit of a take back. Pretty much the same as the LS package but another $45k. Still, a really great answer and spot on. Thanks so much. K
