Engine Light and Traction Light on

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I need help please. I just purchased my 2013 Honda Pilot and the engine light and traction light came on. I am being told that there is a random misfire on bank 1. It appears they adjusted the valves. Then when checked again they detected bank 2 cam out of time by 1 tooth. can you explain to me what this means. I don't understand why a fairly new car would need to have timing adjusted. Thank you for any responses.

It means someone must have replaced the water pump and or the timing belt, and when they put it back together, who ever did not make sure the timing marks on the cam gear and crankshaft gear were in proper aliment.. (Internal engine timing is off)
