I have a 1985 ford bronco xlt i went start it this morning and felt like something broke would not roll overwith ignition. Started it by cylanoid but will not come out of park to go in drive how t Fix

I put a new ignition still wont start or come out of park.
Please give me advice with this on how to fix!!!

There is a dog leg/actuator between the key switch and ignition switch made out of pop metal. These break and the steering wheel has to come off,turn signal switch and tilt to get to it and the gears inside have to be timed to start right too. You may be better off to just replace the steering column from a junk yard.
