It is absolutely the wrong transmission fluid in the car. Go to your Mechanic and get the system flush out and have the 10-12 quarts of ATF+4 Installed. Might as well do a filter while yer at it.
What type transmission fluid do I use for a 2006 Dodge caravan ?
Never flush your transmission unless you have been changing it regularly as it supposed to be. The fluid that's in your transmission is full of clutch dust and if you remove all that there goes your clutches. I know this from experience on more than one car and my mechanic says never ever flush your system because you'll be flushing everything you need out. I believe him because he's had a transmission shop for 37 years and the fact that it happened to me not once but twice

That is incorrect. You are not supposed to use the machine that removes and adds fluid at same time. It stirs up pieces of metal that are too big to be removed by machine. If you simply flush the fluid without using machine and problems arise... that is because transmission bands also what your referring to as clutches are not adjusted correctly. You have to change the solenoids and readjust transmission bands. It is never a good idea to perpetuate the problem by procrastinating more. IT IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO WORK ON GROWING A BRAIN. GuruVP you need to understand that PT Loser is made for driving around specifically to look like a huge loser. You need to take extra special care of cars like that. Dont buy a focus and try to focus. KEEP THAT PT LOSER SHING LOSER.
Also Guru you do not line the timing marks on cam directly at tdc. The crankshaft aligns at tdc. The cam aligns have tooth advanced so that the pcm seeking feature stays active. It only lines up perfect 1/30 times... the other 97 out of 100 times the computer is working its magic doing precise calculations to keep it running smooth at 97 percent of its peak potential. Now you go ahead let belt keep stretching until it breaks and you bust valves... instead of not informing yourself.
