Which second hand vehicle to buyup to $17k

Hi everyone,would appreciate your expertise  on
the following:
Considering buying a second hand vehicle around
$17k.
Currently driving Toyota Corolla 2013 LE, with 130k
on it,overall happy but need a bit more power. Was
thinking either upgrading to Camry,or mazda3, or
civic. The thing is Camry is 2.5 L, civic and mazda
3 are  2.0 L. Need realible vehicle  for family of
three,daily commute good on gas. Thank you.
