How do you check the transmission shifting solenoid

We had the transmission in our 2012 crew re-built just last month at 98k miles. From what the shop explained to us, the solenoids are all packed in a single unit. There is no option to fix/replace just one. Re-build cost us $3500 just to give you an idea if you are shopping for repair prices.

The shifting problems of the solenoids are an electronic problem and not a mechanical problem with the transmission itself. You've been had sorry to say
