i have 2013 impala ltz which has p235/50r18 tires, can i get a taller tire to get car higher of the ground. i have to travel roads not made for a low car.

Take a good look at the clearance you have in your wheel wells. I doubt you can get more than an extra 1/2" of ground clearance. It sounds like you need a SUV or a 4x4 pick up.
If you could fit 235/60/18 tires you would gain nearly an inch of ground clearance.
BTW- low profile tires like 50 series means you have a short sidewall and pot holes and rocks can break your wheels.
yes I have a 2008 f150, I thought I was smart buying the impala with 18 inch wheels only to discover they are low profile. but thanks for help
If you went to 17" or even 16" wheels you could put 70 series tires on it. It would impair the handling slightly but it would improve the ride on those bumpy roads.
I 'm thinking now that is the only way to get higher is to get away from the standard wheels
