While the vehicle is running turn the ac on and look under the hood, what kind of noise does it make while running and when it cuts off?

Most likely when the mechanic replaced the Condenser and brazed the refrigerant lines to it they didnt do a perfect job making sure the connection was totally sealed and after recharging the system enough refrigerant had leaked out that when you turned on your a/c months later it couldnt cool. Your system is now undercharged. You need to take it in to have the leak sealed and recharged. Also have the mechanics check the expansion valve and the filter drier to see if theyre clogged. Be sure you go to a good mechanic that you can really trust, if a technician does a half-assed job on a system it can cause major problems and cost you a ton of money to fix their mistakes. Luckily, in this case i dont think it will be very bad at all.
Condensers on this vehicle bolt on with compression fit o-ring connections, not brazed. Having said that, leaks happen. Best way to tell if compressor is running is to look and see if the inner shaft of the clutch is turning. Look when it’s on and off, and put some bright paint on the inside to help if you have trouble, the outside will always turn. If it’s turning you have a charge, blend door, or orifice problem and need gauges to further diagnose. If it’s not turning you have low pressure or electrical issues.
