Where is the Crankshaft sensor located @.

I have a 1989 mercury grand marquis it crank but
no start ive been looking around and some say it
might be my crank position sensor or my
crankshaft sensor same thing I'm guessing but I'm
coming here to find out where is it located @ any
help would do

The crankshaft position sensor on a Mercury Grand Marquis is located on the left side of the engine block, approximately 6-inches above the oil pan. This sensor is designed to measure the position of the crankshaft in relation to the camshaft and engine block.
