2001 caravan sport code 746 -torque converter solenoid comes up. New tranny?

Asked by repairchallenged Feb 12, 2013 at 10:20 PM about the 2001 Dodge Caravan Sport FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2 OBD II codes popped up.  740 or 744 & 746.  Getting really bad gas mileage.  I know it says torque converter solenoid but I want to be prepared for worst case scenario.  Van has 150 K.  Has been serviced well.

These vans are bad for the all solenoids. To get a better idea I would take into a tranny shop, and have it diagnosed properly.
