86 Buick Regal T-Type w/ idle issues

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Runs fine, except when stopped, the car idles erratically, jumping up and down in rpm's every few seconds,
sometimes shutting off completely. I already replaced the idle air control valve. Any other suggestions?

fuel filter? check spark plugs & wires too. power feels strong on acceleration? any fuel smell from the exhaust?
