Why is Mileage so low?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 2006 Honda Odyssey and it continues to
get 10 mpg.
The dealer cannot find anything.
No one knows why??

That is very low but what type of driving do you do?

If this is something new I'd suspect the transmission is not shifting correctly. If it's not shifting into the highest gear or you've lost overdrive, that will kill your gas mileage. Hope that helps! Jim

Around town mileage should still be more than 10 MPG. You should be getting around 20 MPG around town and around 28 MPG on the highway according to EPA estimates. Since you're getting half that, something is going on. Hope that helps! Jim
