03 neon sxt trouble

I have a 03 dodge neon sxt I was driving and the car jerked hard and i
slowed down and it was fine started accelerating again and it worked
however when I stopped it wouldnt accelerate engine would roar but car
didnt go. You could here something ratteling under the car. Car wont move
while shifimg from park to drive you can feel it shift however it only goes
2mph what could be wrong

eather something broke in the tranny,or the sidethat jerked hard broke a axle or cv joint,that is what is probley ratteleing.
So if the cv joint is broken would cause it not to accelrate

sounds like the tranny popped to me. the bands prolly went and your able to move it barely just by luck. 300 bucks at the wreckers will get you a new auto tranny and a saturdeay with your buddies to put it in. should take 2 guys with some car skill 3-4 hours.
yes if the cvjoint is broken,the axle will just spin,the other side will try to pull but wont.
