Having trouble disconnecting tail light harness from the main harness on 2012 suburban. Any tips?

Got it done. New LED's look great. Minor issue though. My side mirror signals flash out of sequence with the new tail lights only when the brakes are on. They flash at the same time when the lights are on, or the lights are off. They flash opposite of each other when the brakes are on. Any ideas as to why and if there is a quick fix?

I don't know much about LED lighting, but it sounds cool, sure you want to fix it? lol.
