How many miles before first oil change on new corvette?

Eh with the way the cars are made now you could probably wait till it says to change it but I would personally change it at 500 then again between 1000 and 1500 after which I would follow the oil life monitor system. Also be sure to check the oil between changes as the ls motors tend to burn a little oil especially when they are operated in the higher RPM's, there is nothing wrong with the engines as they will last for over 300k miles but you need to check your oil often.

what does the dealer recommend ? it should tell you in the owners manual .

i did my 2012 Camaro at 1600 miles.. i could see the powder metal debris starting to form. the first change must be premature if you want the engine to last. too much debris will scrub the moving parts excessively.
