Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I smell a horrible odor like burning rubber or something maybe metallic? I can
smell it strongly inside the car even more than i can smell it when I put my head
over the engine.

Might be melting electronics or wires. Check around the vehicle for non working electrical components or lights. FYI it can be hard to distinguish between the smell of burning rubber, wires, coolant, or exhaust, if you can't find the source take it to a shop. If it's something electrical, you wan't to find it or you leave yourself vulnerable to potential fires.

Could be a burning brake smell from dragging brakes.
