CRK SENSOR AIR GAP
I'm also working on a Chrysler Sebring with
a no spark condition. It's squawking a code
11-NO CRANK REFERENCE... I've replaced
the distributor which houses the CAM
sensor which in turn sends a signal to the
CRK SENSOR via a single lead from the
COIL WINDINGS In the distributor. It
incorporates an ASR / automatic shutdown
relay. ( which NOTHING works if it is not
energized. ) When the CRK SENSOR sends
a signal, The PCU applies a ground to the
ASR, which applies 12vdc to the injectors,
the distributor etc. The PCU THEN APPLIES
A LOW TO THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE
COIL WHEN THE CRK SENSOR READS THE
TIMING WINDOWS ON THE CRANK RING . I
think I might understand the concept of it
all, but what do I need to use to set the air
gap between the CRK SENSOR and the
EXCITER RING ON THE FLYWHEEL. What is
the clearance?
