Engine Swsp

Asked by blv1985 May 23, 2019 at 09:54 PM about the 2001 Dodge Durango Sport RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Will a 4.7l engine from a 2001
Dodge Durango 4x2 fit into a 1999
Dodge Durango  4x4 that has a
blown 5.9

1 Answer

103,215

No, two different engines. Better off finding another 5.9 from the same year Durango as yours. There's too much else to swap around to switch to a different size engine without it turning into a big project.
