Just a reccomendation; sounds like you're trying to narrow down three possibilities. Parts for that car are gonna be special order and expensive. I'd isolate the issue with 100% certainty before I started swapping parts. Once you special order parts that old, they're YOUR parts.

????Is there any reason you can't replece item for item? Or..are the components completely missing from the vehicle?
There are 2 crank postion sensors they are located behind the left exhaust manifold but it will be very very hard to replace them with the engine still in the car and also the ecm is located unter the intake box in a plastic box. If your crankshaft sensors would be bad it wouldnt start at all or it would run but not for long, also check your camshaft senor and wiring could be throwing a ghost code
