If not the display itself, it is probably the circuit board that feeds them. You will need to take the dash apart to get them out and replace the units.

So you telling me they both went out at the same time?

You did not say that. I just know that they typically die from either the display or the circuit boards that drive them. I had a '93 and they both required replacement over the 23 years I owned it. Bought them on Ebay.
