Ground wire go from battery to car Cadillac Deville

Remove the ground wire (black) from the battery first. Then remove the power wire (red). Remove the old battery and replace with the new battery. Clean any corrosion from the red battery cable and connect it to the positive terminal of the new battery. Connect the new ground (black) wire to the chassis of the car where the old cable was connected and the other end to the negative battery terminal.
